Cloudflare Announces New Seoul Office and Appoints Head of Korea

The company continues to expand its presence in Asia Pacific with new office in Seoul

Seoul, December 8, 2022 — Cloudflare, Inc. (NYSE: NET), the security, performance, and reliability company helping to build a better Internet, today announced that Seoul, Korea, is the home of its newest office in Asia Pacific. Seoul represents a growing Cloudflare team presence in the region, following the company’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, and offices in Beijing, Sydney, and Tokyo.

Cloudflare’s Seoul-based team will help the company acquire and support customers, grow brand awareness, and recruit new talent. Cloudflare also announced that Alex Kim, a seasoned technology executive with close to 20 years of experience in the IT industry, will lead this new office and team.

Today, Cloudflare’s global network spans more than 275 cities in more than 100 countries, including 95 cities across Asia Pacific. Cloudflare is planning further expansion in the region as it continues to grow its network globally. With millions of Internet properties on Cloudflare’s network, the company already has many customers in Korea, including bemyfriens, EJN Corp, Hyperconnect, Neowiz, Radish Media Inc, and TeamBlackbird Inc. Cloudflare has also partnered with MEGAZONECLOUD, Bespin Global, and other partners to enable joint customers in the country.

Cloudflare’s first Head of Korea, Alex Kim, will oversee and lead the company’s sales and go-to-market activities in the country. “More than 96 percent of Korea’s population uses the Internet and Korea is home to some of the biggest manufacturing and technology companies, as well as a thriving startup community,” said Alex Kim, Head of Korea at Cloudflare. “With this level of connectivity and business acumen, we have a huge opportunity to build our team, our brand, and our partner ecosystem, as we help Korean businesses throughout their innovation journey.”
